What is Lymphomatoid Papulosis?

Lymphomatoid papulosis is a skin disorder that occurs on many parts of the body. The main areas of the body that are mainly under risk are the chest and the arms and legs, but the back has also been reported as an area for Lymphomatoid papulosis to occur. What you will get is a rash appear on any of the just mentioned parts of the body. But this rash does have some similar characteristics to other rashes in that the rash will usually be red or in some cases the rash will be brown. Causes of Lymphomatoid Papulosis

Symptoms of Lymphomatoid Papulosis

  1. Mmultiple skin papules (raised bumps) that may occur anywhere on the body but most often affect the chest, stomach, back, arms and legs.

  3. They may develop into blood or pus-filled blisters that break and form a crusty sore before healing completely. Lesions spontaneously heal with or without scarring within 2-8 weeks of appearing.

  • Methotrexate is sometimes used to treat lymphomatoid papulosis.

Low-dose weekly methotrexate is a safe and effective treatment for suppressing Lymphomatoid Papulosis.
